I love this video from Berg London and Dentsu, it has really got me thinking…how and where would I want to interact with my social media? Having written my dissertation on the ever more penetrative and invasive nature of advertising, this video has reinforced the direction in which I feel the social media world is heading.

Awesome guerrilla marketing stunt for the new Mini Cooper Clubman. I don’t like the car, but I love the stunt!

Awesome ambient advertising for Schweppes lemonade. Also love The Inbetweeners music.

This is such a brilliant idea, one of those ones things that I wish I had thought of.

The Coca Cola Village is a special summer experiential event in Israel, in 2010, that harnessed the power of Facebook. Teenagers needed to collect 10 Coca Cola caps each, then gather eight Facebook friends (who also did the same) and then register online through Facebook to gain exclusive entry.

When they got to the Coca Cola Village, they were asked to setup a special wrist band that would securely hold their Facebook login / password to swipe when starting each activity.

Every time you swiped, it instantly updated your status with what you were doing at the event, keeping your friends up to date in real time.

The wrist band also allowed automatic tagging of all the photos taken at the Coca Cola Village. The event held 650 teenagers a day, and with the seamless Facebook integration, they generated 35,000+ posts every day for the three days totaling over 100,000 posts for the event!

So this has just won NMA’s campaign of the month.

Barclays are trying to improve teenagers’ understanding of banking. They want to educate them about direct debits, loans, statements, fraud avoidance and general money management. They’d had some success with an educational board game but needed to reach a wider audience.

As a avid Grand Theft auto player this game immediately appeals to me, and I have been playing it for a few hours this evening.

I enjoyed the explorative nature of the advergame, however can’t help but feel its a touch slow paced. Still it managed to keep my attention (but that isn’t difficult). Have a look and see what you think…

A pedestrian crossing was transformed into a portion of fries for three days in July this year in Zurich, Switzerland, providing an excellent way to connect with passing pedestrians. Awesome ambient campaign that undoubtedly increased sales.

Once you have finished a viral video is emailed to you and you can share it with friends. A really clever way of engaging the audience and excellent promotion for the film.

I saw this and thought it was a simple yet effective idea. The concept was to create a situation that would disrupt the daily flow of students on campuses and create a memorable experience. The objective was to brake the passiveness of the experience which students have come accustomed to, free product samples, and involve them in an interactive experience where they would become apart of the campaign itself.

Dove – The Magic Mirror

I remember a couple of years ago 2 guys at our Summerball in Bournemouth dressed up as Facebook. That was a great idea for a fancy dress, I never thought that it could be transferred to a campaign. (Apologies for the drunken photo of me)

Diesel has created a social event called Facepark, a live event where thousands turned up to create an analog version of Facebook, simulating pretty much everything you can do on Facebook in a physical format, starting with every guest receiving a profile cut-out on arrival that would become your analog wall for the day! Very very cool!
