Saw this a few days back but have only just got around to posting it.

As you may (or may not) know Jackass is back on the big screen but this time in 3D. To promote this they have all clubbed together to take over your Facebook page. Reminisent of the Expendables promotion earlier this year, but hey still pretty nice.

Jackass 3d Facebook Takeover

This one is from down under The Commonwealth Bank is promoting its Property Guide iPhone application that uses augmented reality capacity. The Property Guide app helps users retrieve past sales history, current property listings and recent sales, mapped on to a real world view through the iPhone’s camera on more than 95 per cent of residential properties in Australia. The app is supported by data from realestate.com.au and RP Data. I think this could be useful…

Meet FlipBoard is brand new app for the iPad, and now I can officially say “I want one”. FlipBoard is a social magazine that lets you flip through all of the information being sent with via your social networks in a magazine like format. The app aggregates all this information into the stunning simple app, and there is something satisfying about flicking through pages. Eliminating scrolling and making Facebook look sexy are just  a couple benefits..

The stuff you care about all in one place. Thumbs up.

You can build just about any app you can imagine with App Inventor.

Google has released a free app-maker, a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG tool that allows even cat owners to build their own mobile applications.

To use App Inventor, you do not need to be a developer. App Inventor requires NO programming knowledge. This is because instead of writing code, you visually design the way the app looks and use blocks to specify the app’s behavior.

Check out this video, it will explain all…

Well done again Google, you have single handedly opened up the app industry…

Durex Condoms has released a great new iPhone app that replicates what it’s like to care for a new born child. By downloading the app a user can impregnate another iphone by rubbing their phone against another thus causing the user to have to take care of a virtual baby.

The virtual baby will act like a real new born and require constant attention. The only way to stop the baby requiring constant attention,  is by getting a link to the condom app through the QR Code on the branded durex condom packets.

What a novel idea to help guys relate to the duties involved in caring for a baby, but additionally it sells condoms. To avoid hearing the baby crying and having to feed it all the time we will buy the the condoms for the QR code. But most importantly, we will now use them to avoid having to do this in real life.
